About Mike
Dr Mike Smith is a highly trained and experienced Obstetrician & Gynaecologist who joined us here at Integra Healthcare in the Cayman Islands in June 2023. Dr Smith is experienced in running busy Obstetrics Delivery Suites along with the antenatal and post-natal care of patients. He has completed the RCOG subspecialty training in Gynaecological Oncology and has advanced gynaecological surgical skills in both open and minimal access surgery. Dr Smith has dealt with numerous tertiary referrals for complex cases of benign and cancer patients and as a consultant was called to Obstetrics Delivery Suite to assist in complex emergency situations.

Lead for Gynaecological robotic surgery Christie Hospital (2013-2023). Set up the Christie Hospital Gynaecology robotic surgery service and helped train the 3 other consultant surgeons using the robot. Second largest gynaecological robotic service in the UK.
Completed the RCOG subspecialty training in Gynaecological Oncology and has advanced gynaecological surgical skills

- Holistic antenatal care including screening for complications of pregnancy, monitoring fetal growth and more
- Management of pregnancy related conditions and complications
- Joint decision making regarding birth plans
- Intrapartum care, including active management of labour
- Normal vaginal delivery, instrumental delivery & forceps delivery
- Repair of perineal tears or episiotomy
- Caesarean sections both as a planned procedure and as an emergency if complications arise
- Management of delivery of placenta and bleeding after delivery
