Family Medicine

Dr Deasey, GP in Cayman Islands, is licensed by the Cayman Islands Medical & Dental Council and has been practising in Cayman since 2019 in both urgent care and the wider range of family medicine disciplines.

Dr Deasey or Bec, as she is known, trained in both urgent care and family medicine as a general practitioner in Lancashire in the UK in a number of the regions leading practices and ultimately culminating with her being Lead GP for a busy health centre focused on urgent care in Fleetwood and then Medical Clinical Lead for a private, not-for-profit Integrated Primary & Urgent Care Centre, part of Royal Preston Hospital.

Bec has passionate about preventive healthcare and has a special interest in identifying chronic diseases such as heart disease and diabetes in their earliest stages so that they can be successfully addressed through primary prevention, avoiding both costly and sometimes catastrophic later presentations. She also has an interest in women’s health, with special training in difficult or safeguarding situations, and is an advocate for women’s choice and rights in healthcare.

Urgent & Emergency Medicine

Dr Deasey is unusual as a GP in Cayman Islands, by having an extensive training and experience in urgent and emergency care, having been clinical lead for no less than 2 busy centres in Lancashire, prior to moving to Cayman Islands where she worked in an Urgent Care service too.

She has an advanced training in Pre-Hospital Emergency Care from the British Association for Immediate Care, and training in Adult & Paediatric Life Support, as well as Anaphylaxis training accredited by the Royal College of Physicians.
