What is Otolaryngology?

Common Otolaryngology-related conditions include:
- Tonsillitis: A bacterial infection that results in swelling and inflammation in the tonsils at the back of your throat.
- Ear Infections: Also called Otitis, it is an infection or inflammation of the ear. Occurs when a virus or bacteria is trapped behind the eardrum in the air-filled space
- Sinus Infections: Also called Sinusitis, involves the sinuses (located above the eyes and in your forehead) become swollen
- Allergies: Occurs when the body has a reaction to something that is not usually problematic for our bodies such as pet dander
