School Health Checks in Grand Cayman

Each member of our paediatric team can conduct your child’s School Health Check, swiftly, efficiently and comprehensively. This ensures your child fully complies with the mandatory requirements and is allowed entry to school.

Who Can Conduct School Health Checks?

Children attending private schools should make an appointment to see their private paediatrician (any private paediatrician).

Children attending public schools can also have the school heath checks done by a private paediatrician. However, these are also being conducted by HSA, who should be able to advise you when these are being done. Full details of when and where HSA are conducting their checks are generally posted on the Government news site (but are yet to appear for 2022).

Our School Health Checks Service

We offer a comprehensive School Health Check, covered under your child’s well-child insurance cover. The checks are obviously fully aligned with the HSA ones and fully compliant with the requirements for Public Health/ Schools. It includes:

• A detailed medical history
• Assessment of growth and development
• A detailed physical examination including for scoliosis
• Screening for hearing and visual concerns
• A review of vaccines and vaccination as appropriate
